The Set Via Ferrata Pro Evo 3.0 is equipped with two elasticated arms and automatic-locking via ferrata carabiners with a palm release. This means that the two snap gate carabiners can be opened by applying pressure with the heel of the hand and will then lock automatically after being hooked into a steel cable. With its sewn-on shock absorber made from UHMPE (ultra-high-molecular weight polyethylene), a particularly lightweight yet very robust material, the lanyard enables an even tearing across the entire length of the shock absorber in the event of a fall.
